It facilitates independent routing of two selectable HDMI 2.1 inputs to two HDMI 2.1 outputs, supporting the latest high-bandwidth video formats crucial for modern deployments.

This unit reliably manages signals up to 40Gbps, enabling distribution of 8K@60Hz (YCbCr 4:2:0 10-bit), 8K@30Hz (RGB/YCbCr 4:4:4 10-bit), and high frame rate 4K@120Hz (RGB/YCbCr 4:4:4 10-bit) video, including HDR content. Essential features for contemporary sources like ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) are fully supported.

Integration and control are streamlined with multiple options: utilize automated switching via 5V hot-plug or TMDS signal sensing for simplified setups, or implement precise manual control via bi-directional RS-232, front panel buttons, or IR (compatible with 5V and 12V systems).

Signal integrity and compatibility are paramount. The MX22AB-8K features advanced EDID management to ensure optimal communication between source devices and displays, alongside full HDCP 2.3 compliance for seamless handling of protected content.

Audio integration is versatile, supporting passthrough of all known HDMI formats including Dolby Atmos® and DTS-HD Master Audio™. Concurrent analogue L/R stereo and optical (S/PDIF) digital audio breakout allows for easy connection to external amplification or DSPs.
